Leadership In The 21st Century: How The Youths Are Taking Over

Leadership In The 21st Century: How The Youths Are Taking Over
The most fascinating thing about the 21st
century is not the cutting edge technology
or innovations, rather the youthful leaders
who are standing to be counted as agents
of change. It used to be a custom for old
Leaders to refer to youth as “the leaders of tomorrow”.  Today, the case is so much
different. Youthful leaders are now moving forward and taking the reins of power and leadership.
21st Century Leadership has more youthful appeal and transformative power that cuts across all races, status, and class. The “The Color of Change: Interethnic Youth Leadership for the 21st Century” Report suggests that youth should be the initiators
of change and not just the beneficiaries. So far so good, youth continue to lead in every sphere of influence. When we think of youthful leadership, we think of the Barack Obama, the President of the US and Rajoelina of Madagascar once a DJ and part, but now a sitting president.
Away from the frontiers of power, youth
entrepreneurs also blaze the trail in cutting edge innovation and technology. Mark Zuckberger (Facebook) and Mark Cuban are some of the influential young
entrepreneurs who have used their
knowledge and skills to transform social
media and the internet. These youthful
leaders, with a background in
entrepreneurship, have demonstrated the
will to promote civic engagement and and provide leadership that will address global challenges such as poverty and insecurity. With their optimism and resilience, they have inspired people to realize their potential and make effective contribution whatever they can.
What makes youthful leaders exceptional is their bold and all-inclusive approach to
social issues and even startups. In the past,
old leaders were disconnected from the
youthful population and therefore they
could not address the issues of the young
and old generation effectively. Now, young
leaders have emerged and they offer a
middle ground to bring to align and bring
the goals and aspiration of the young and
old into realization.
The new generation of young leaders that is coming up is guiding human humanity to a better life and future. Taking over the
mantle still remains a challenge, but youth leadership brings creativity and versatility in society. Most importantly, it removes the prejudices and bias that have confined
many people to misconceptions about the
ability of the young entrepreneurs to
succeed or even lead.
The bottom line is that young leadership is transformational as it instils a sense of
pride and enthusiasm to those being led,
thus allowing them to change and to
embrace positive change.  Above all, 21st
century leaders continue to initiate
transformation and also inspire the masses to remain committed and loyalty to just cause.
